Three Rialto firefighters failed to provide 'reasonable and professional care' and ignored pleas for help by nurses when they refused to enter an acute care center and treat a man in full cardiac arrest because of coronavirus protocols, according to a report released by the city. Capt. Josh Gilliam would not allow any member of his fire crew to enter Rialto Post Acute Care Center after they responded to a 911 call about 8 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2021, according to the independent report, which was released by the city in response to a public records request from the Southern California News Group.
